Ever feel like the guy in the picture? Would the following make good headlines? Computer user attacks smart-aleck tech with mouse! Foreign language classesin demandso people can talk to their online help desk! Technology rage replaces road rage! I'm just kidding, but can't you almost see something like this in the news? Do you ever get frustrated with technology? Ever hear someone say "Ain't technology wonderful!", and you just know they don't think it's wonderful?
Technology is supposed to help us. Computers should do what we tell them. Web pages should work for us and express our personality, style and product. Surveillance should make us feel secure, not wondering how to work it. Networks should let the computers talk and not just be a bunch of wires. People in Abilene should have tame computers, networks, web pages and the like.
